Founding Partner of Anthill Ventures, a cross-border advisor to digital technology firms located in the US, Asia and Europe.


He is a member of the Board of Regents of the University of Hawaii. He is on the Board of Directors of Creative Intelligence Associates (Tokyo), a brand strategy firm which provides action plans tied to measurable increases in customer satisfaction, revenues and profits. The founder of Fast Retailing (Uniqlo)—one the hottest retailers in the world—has written extensively about the role CIA played in building his company’s brand and corporate strategy.

Doug has had leadership roles at several global software companies and was a senior partner in charge of Deloitte Touche’s IT and strategy consulting practices in Japan. He has also been on start-up teams that took their companies to IPO. Earlier, Doug worked in Japan as a strategy consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.

Doug received his BA and MBA from the University of Southern California and also holds a JD from the Stanford Law School.
